A Big Thanks!

I leave a bucket of snacks out on our front porch for our delivery friends. I never really knew how much it meant to them until I’ve either talked to them, or like today when I received this note with some packages. Nita, our sweet FedEx driver, chats with me while she chooses her snacks and oohs and ahhhs over the cold assortment of drinks. She brings me my Scout & Cellar Wine shipments monthly, I sign for them each time, so I’m glad we get the chance to catch up.

I started putting out snacks last Christmas season. We get lots of deliveries around here, so I thought I’d like to start blessing our delivery friends then. Since that time Nita has told me lots of drivers do not have time to stop for lunch and often times, don’t have time to make many pit stops! She said these snacks and small drinks really help get her through the day!

This post is in no way a pat on my back. I thought I’d suggest you all do the same! We’ve even given away a Wild At Heart book. It was an extra Todd had ordered which was still sitting on our bench. These small gestures are a small way to express our appreciation and a way to put a smile on their faces. They work through freezing temps in the winter and some of the hottest days in the summer so we can have our packages. I’m glad to know that a little snack and drink can be just the right thing at the right time for some awesome delivery friends.
