Fall Favorites
Fall is definitely in the air! The cooler temperatures and leaves turning give me “all the feels”! I usually wait until October to decorate or even use pumpkin in my recipes. I like to keep each timeframe separate and I am in the camp that feels like fall begins in October. Some of my favorite recipes for fall are White Chicken Chili a al Jolie, Pumpkin Spice Snowballs, Italian Chicken Soup, Slow Cooker Bolognese, Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie and Pumpkin Bread with a Streusel Topping. These are fan favorites and hearty enough to keep you full or sweet enough to give you that fall feeling. Recently Todd and I were blessed to be able to go visit Breckenridge CO and Park City UT with dear friends. The colors were vibrant and beautiful and the air was crisp making me want to wear a sweater, jeans and boots! Our weather in Tulsa isn’t nearly as cool yet and it looks like summer is trying to hang on with a few high temps. Whatever the weather where ever you are, I hope that this fall brings time with friends and family and time to reflect on what 2020 has brought to you. It’s been a stressful year on many fronts for us this year, but through the grace of God, we have grown, learned and loved each other in deeper ways. Give some of these nourishing and delicious recipes a try. Hopefully they’ll become staples in your home like that have in mine.
